You set out to arrange an evening of culture and find yourself returning, once again, to the Empire. A familiar complication. The Sydney Symphony’s The Empire Strikes Back in Concert offers a particularly persuasive explanation for your decision: a concert at Sydney Opera House, with all the associations that this particular title brings along. You might have selected something less dramatic, but then you would miss the pleasure of putting both orchestral music and galactic turmoil into the same carefully organized calendar entry.

The Sydney Symphony presents The Empire Strikes Back in Concert in the Concert Hall at Sydney Opera House on October 24, 2026. The listed event time is 7:00pm to approximately 10:00pm. The Concert Hall gives the occasion its setting; your imagination can take care of the unnecessarily sweeping arrival music. Whether your expertise runs to symphonies or spacecraft, there is room in your plans for a little of both. Leave the imaginary Imperial briefing unfinished. You have a concert to think about, and that seems a much better use of the time.
