“The Absolutely Can’t Miss Event of the Summer” is growing and evolving for 2019. In 2017, we created the Pierce County Toy and Geek Fest as a fun little show that was true to our toy roots. The event in 2018 expanded to many new avenues, but we kept with “Toy and Geek Fest” in our name. That name excluded the comics, video games, celebrities, art, attractions, and so many other things that were at our event. Needless to say, “Washington State Toy and Comics and Games and Exhibits and Celebrities and Geek Fest” wasn’t a finalist for the name change. After two months of hashing and rehashing 700+ names and possibilities, we are moving forward with the name “Washington State Summer Con” for next year and future years.”
